I have not included well-known Louisiana writers of the past such as Grace King, Walker Percy, Kate Chopin, or John Kennedy Toole. I have also excluded poetry and nonfiction titles. Only one title is listed for each author, though most have written more than one book. Award-winning books are shown in boldface type.
